Multi-level Granite New Build

Built from weathered Dartmoor Granite, this multi-level 238m² home fits seamlessly into its enchanting moorland setting. The roof structure is part oak and part beam and block, with reclaimed Delabole slate cladding to the pitched sections and ‘green’ roofing to the flat.

Hidden beneath the oak and natural stone flooring is whole-house underfloor heating with a discreet heat recovery and ventilation system, and a ground source heat pump providing heating and hot water. The substantial glazed areas are a mix of slender aluminium and traditional oak timber.

External works were carefully crafted from local natural stone and a swimming pool was created with sprayed concrete and a black Beadcrete finish. The windows and doors are a mix of ‘Fineline’ aluminium with very large glazed areas and some in traditional oak timber along with a curved internal staircase in oak with a mix of oak and natural stone flooring.

Designed to sit in harmony with its surroundings, the pool was completed with a discrete pool plant room, cleverly veiled by the natural fall of the land.
