Our team have years of experience and a variety of industry awards and accreditations, making Bovey Construction the partner of choice for many of Devon’s architects.

Meet the Teams

Commercial Team

Neil Turner

Managing Director

Passionate about building design and construction from churches ancient to Passivhaus modern Neil’s dedication to people, training and technology has ensured that the business, now in its 30th year, continues to be robust and well-respected.

Neil lives on Dartmoor is a keen mountain biker and runner and regularly sails and climbs.

Jane Turner

Commercial Manager

Jane injects ‘energy’ into the business and our projects, working tirelessly with clients, architects, suppliers and our own team from inception to completion.

With a ‘big family’ attitude to this family business Jane cares about people as well as our projects. Jane runs and cycles in the little spare time she has.

Alex Price MCIOB

Managing Director Designate

Alex is a Chartered Construction manager through the CIOB. With an engineering degree, a civil background and a highly analytical approach Alex was well placed to strengthen the Bovey Commercial Team when he joined 5 years ago. Alex thrives in the high pressure environment of our Commercial Team; delivering bids and tenders to exacting deadlines.

A young family and training for triathlons takes up much of Alex’s ‘other’ time. 

Prasad Gaddala


Prasad’s enthusiasm is infective, there are no problems only solutions. With a Civil Engineering degree and a forensic approach whether working with our estimating software, comparing drawings with ‘Bluebeam’, measuring or product research Prasad is hardworking and meticulous, a very powerful combination indeed.

A cricketer and footballer at local club level Prasad is a genuine team player.

Jasmine Bayliss

Business Developer & Product Design

Born in Hertfordshire to a family of Product Designers Jasmine came to Plymouth to study Product Design. She fell in love with Devon and after graduating with a first class degree decided to stay. Jasmine is highly interested in human centred design and believes everything should be intuitive and user friendly; the simpler the better. She likes to try and challenge herself to describe a concept in 10 words.

Jasmine loves dogs, long walks on Dartmoor, board games, conversations by the pub fireside in winter and BBQ’s on the beach in summer.

Operations Team

Andrea Hewett

Operations Commercial Manager

Efficient and fastidious, Andrea as part of our Operations Team is responsible for ensuring project’s are delivered on time and as specified.

An excellent understanding of the construction process and with a strong technical knowledge after spending 16 years with Bovey Construction Andrea currently spends much of her spare time working on her own renovation project.

Jon Jones (JJ)

Contracts Manager

JJ’s career with Bovey Construction spans over 16 years, most of it as a Site Manager winning a number of project awards before becoming our Contracts Manager, JJ is a qualified carpenter and knows site construction methods and processes through and through. Tasked with keeping our Site Managers connected with our office based Operations Team he is responsible for the profitable and safe delivery of our high quality projects.

A highly proficient motocross rider with many trophies to his name, JJ also rides both road and mountain bikes and has recently taken up running.

Allister Parr

Project Manager

Construction runs in Allister’s family and he has had the pleasure of creating some amazing spaces for clients. He is passionate about delivering bespoke projects to a very high standard and exceeding customer expectations. Allister is solution focused, has a high technical knowledge and thrives on the challenge that cutting edge design brings. He is an excellent communicator, enjoys sharing knowledge and information, and believes that everyday is an opportunity to learn something new.

In Allister’s spare time he runs a kids mountain biking club and can often be found on his mountain bike on Dartmoor or high in the Alps.

Emma Hudson

Office Manager

Hard working Office Managers are the often unsung heroes of an efficient and successful business. All that stuff that ‘just gets done’ is mostly completed by Emma, quietly and efficiently second guessing who needs what, when and in which priority. Guardian of our ‘copier room’ and the dark art of ‘Dropbox’ and other ‘Cloud’ based voodoo that moves data hungry stuff from us to you and you to the right persons desk.

Emma is the company ‘petrol head’ with a love of fast cars and a passion for did you know….riddles and trivia!

Site Delivery Team

Simon Curling

Senior Site Manager

25 years with Bovey Construction Simon is the ‘go to’ person across our Site Managers and trades for anything technical or the ‘know how’ to get a task done. A highly experienced and qualified carpenter If Simon can’t make it or do it, it probably can’t be done but then he will likely help you redesign it so it can. Simon serves as an important link and mentor in the training chain for Apprentices and Site Managers alike.

Highly competitive Simon challenges himself as hard as everyone else, be that on ski’s or his mountain bike, walking long distance paths or on the golf course.

Terry Bulley

Site Manager

Terry is a bricklayer and ground worker with 15 years at Bovey Construction as a Site Manager and is a qualified Site Supervisor. As an experienced Site Manager Terry now manages the groundworks on many of our projects and also provides holiday and temporary cover as required.

Brian Thirtle

Site Manager

Brian retrained as a carpenter with Bovey Construction and has been with the company for 16 years. He has long experience as a Site Manager and has a bias towards refurbishment projects. An ex-serviceman Brian works and thinks in a precise manner and has the tidiest and best organised site offices you will see and a piece of equipment for every job. Brian is a qualified Site Supervisor.

Adrian Rea

Site Manager

Methodical and diligent Adrian is multi-skilled and a very fine carpenter, he has worked at Bovey Construction for 13 years, most of them as a Site Manager. Adrian has developed great insight and experience as he continues to meet the demands of managing large and complex projects for demanding designers and clients. Honest and forthright Adrian plays a significant role mentoring our apprentices and trainees.

Greg Kaminski

Site Manager

Joining the company as a carpenter apprentice over 13 years ago Greg quickly achieved an HNC in construction before becoming a Site Manager. Dedication is Greg’s hallmark with everything he does being properly considered and executed with a wonderful eye for the detail that delivers exceptional projects.

A surfer and motor bike enthusiast when ‘surfs up’ Greg can be seen on his home built bike complete with surf board rack heading to the beach even in January!

Dan Durant

Site Manager

Apprenticed as a carpenter with Bovey Construction Dan over 10 years ago and currently working on his Site Managers qualification Dan is ‘full on’ with everything he does and has a sharp wit to match. No project is too tough or too complex with Dan’s ‘can do’ attitude and an ability to cut through the ‘noise’ and deliver at every level.

Dan can be found at the weekend working on his own house renovation or out on the moors on his bike.

Rick Collyer

Site Manager

One of Bovey Construction’s rising stars. An ‘Apprentice of the year’ at South Devon College and a National finalist in the CITB Skill Build competition Rick is a gifted craftsman carpenter. Rick’s youthfulness does not detract from his excellence and dedication as a highly proficient and effective Site Manager.

Finance Team

Emma Reed

Accounting Assistant

Emma is an AAT qualified accountant who, working closely with Michael and Oliver, assists in the smooth running of our accounts department, providing support for to the finance and management teams. In her spare time Emma enjoys walks with her family and boxer dog.

Mike Dennis

Financial Controller

Michael is a certified chartered accountant, responsible for the internal accountancy function as well as assisting the team on strategy and growth. Demystifying ‘the numbers’ Michael is at his best working collaboratively with the members of the team to thoroughly understand the financial performance of the business and projects. In his spare time Michael enjoys playing hockey and watching football.
