| January 2004 BOVEY CONSTRUCTION IS NOT BOVEY BUILDERS LTD Devon Trading Standards is prosecuting a building company, which assumed the name, Bovey Builders Ltd, over two years ago, thereby trading on the good name of the original, long-established building firm of that name. The original company, which now operates as Bovey Construction Ltd, has been in existence since 1988, when it set up as a highly respected family firm. As an Investors in People company which maintains very high standards, it has never been prosecuted. Neil Turner, managing director of Bovey Construction Ltd, and Rodney Gover, Area Building Control Surveyor at Teignbridge District Council, want to make it clear that the imminent prosecution of Mr Carr, trading as Bovey Builders, at Newton Abbot Magistrates Court has nothing to do with Bovey Construction Ltd. Rodney Gover said: “Bovey Construction is a building firm we know very well and respect. Their managing director, Neil Turner, sits on our customer panel, which consists of reputable architects and builders, whose opinions we value.” |
